This document details the release dates, version numbers, and end-of-support dates for Browsium Ion General Distribution Releases (GDRs) – releases that are available for evaluation kit download and are automatically updated on your organization’s Browsium Ion Download page. Use this article to determine which version of Ion you have installed on your system and its eligibility for hotfix support.
Browsium’s policy is to provide hotfix support to customers with active Support & Maintenance agreements for the current GDR (N) and prior GDR (N-1) at any given time. This policy only applies to major/minor version numbers (first and second digit only – e.g., Ion 4.0). Hotfixes released through the GDR channel (e.g., Ion 4.0.x) and Limited Distribution Releases (LDRs), which are provided to specific customers for specific issues, do not impact the GDR support lifecycle.
Browsium always recommends that all customers run the latest version of all Browsium products to ensure the optimal compatibility and rapid turnaround on support cases.

Version numbers for Browsium Client are visible in Windows Programs and Features and in each browser’s extensions management interface.
Ion 4.6.3 has version string 4.6.3.71. The Browsium Client Extensions for Edge, Chrome and Firefox are 4.6.1.
Ion 4.6.2 has version string 4.6.2.69. The Browsium Client Extensions for Edge, Chrome and Firefox are 4.6.1.
Ion 4.6.1 has version string 4.6.1.67. The Browsium Client Extensions for Edge, Chrome and Firefox are 4.6.1.
Ion 4.6 has version string 4.6.0.54. The Browsium Client Extensions for Edge, Chrome and Firefox are 4.6.1.
Ion 4.5 has version string 4.5.0.167. The Browsium Client Extensions for Edge, Chrome and Firefox are 4.5.0.
Ion 4.4.2 has version string 4.4.2.295. The Browsium Client Extensions for Edge, Chrome and Firefox are 4.4.7.

Ion 4.3 has version string 4.3.0.286. The Browsium Client Chrome Extension is 4.3.11 and the Firefox Extension is 4.3.9.
