New Microsoft Edge support empowers you to make on-premises and cloud-based web application environments future ready.

Today we released version 4.4 of our browser management suite, with updated versions of Browsium Proton, Ion, and Catalyst. Together they deliver comprehensive IT operations management software that fills the gap left behind by your desktop and network management tools.

Version 4.4 of our browser management suite brings Microsoft Edge support to the forefront. Coupled with existing support for Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox, this release extends insight and control of legacy and modern web-based applications and their browser environments to Edge.

Microsoft has been talking about the ecosystem technology and extensions support in Edge for many months. Today, the Edge browser has matured and moved forward to reach the enterprise market. At the same time, the 4.4 release of Browsium’s browser management suite delivers the IT management software tools you need to ensure your critical on-premises and cloud-based web applications perform efficiently in Edge or the most compatible alternative browser available. The 4.4 release also includes:

  • 64-bit Firefox support
  • Script Error Reporting in Firefox and Chrome (now supports – Internet Explorer, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and 64-bit Firefox) for easier error detection
  • Client authentication tokens and IP filtering for added security

Each enterprise browser environment is unique and complex. With your organization’s business productivity running through the browser, trusting legacy and modern applications will transition through migrations and upgrades with no problems is risky. Browsium’s 4.4 release gives you the ability to measure, monitor, and control your browser environments so you can identify and solve problems before they impact your workforce and your bottom line.

More details about these releases can be found in the release notes for each module linked to the table at the bottom of this post.
