How has Java management improved with Browsium Ion 4.0?

Enabling multiple versions of Java to run side-by-side in Internet Explorer has been a hallmark capability of Browsium Ion since its first release in 2012, providing IT with a simple, yet powerful solution to manage and secure Java across the enterprise. With version 4.0, Ion takes Java security to the next level with ‘white list’ functionality to lock down the use of Java to only those sites designated by IT. This secures the enterprise by not exposing Java to the open web and saves IT money on regression testing by enabling the organization to standardize on a known-compatible version of Java. In addition, the new Limited Java profiles feature in Ion 4.0 enables Java swaps within the unmanaged instance of Internet Explorer, providing a more seamless and higher-performance end user experience.
