Versions 4.0 through 4.3.0 of Browsium Catalyst, Ion and Proton
On certain machines the Browsium Management Service (BrowsiumService in Services) can fail to start due to dependencies on other services that are slow to start on the machine. Additional resiliency was built into the Browsium Client in 4.3.1 across Catalyst, Ion and Proton so you should not see this error if you are using 4.3.1, 4.4.0 or newer.
For users of affected versions you can modify the starting behavior of the Browsium Management Service by setting the service to “Automatic (Delayed Start)”. This can be done in the Services section of Administrative Tools by finding the Browsium Management Service and modifying it’s startup type in the drop down box.
You can also configure this setting by running the following command “sc config BrowsiumService start=delayed-auto” in an elevated command prompt.
